6 March 2010

Traffic-light controlled section has been temporarily extended to allow for investigative work in preparation for final design.

23 September 2010

Draft orders were published today.

23 February 2012

A formal "Decision to Proceed" was enacted today. Construction is expected to take 12 months, with complete closure for ¼ of that time.

24 April 2012

The procurement process has now started.

6 October 2014

Most of the new viaduct section is now in place, but still a lot of work to do with the tie ins and so on, let alone surfacing.

21 April 2015

Convoy system is still in use. The top surface appears complete, but barriers are still to be constructed.

14 May 2015

Upgrade is now open to two-way traffic.
