M27 Widening J3-4
You are here: Home - Futures - M27 Widening J3-4
Scheme Outline
On-line widening of the M27 between junctions 3 and 4 (M271 to M3) to dual-four lane standard. The scheme is actually a package of improvements to the motorway, and includes the addition of climbing lanes on the hills between junctions 11 and 12.
Information recently released shows that the widening will involve narrowing the central reservation and will not involve the replacement of Romsey Road bridge, making the hard shoulder discontinuous here.
