Scheme Outline

Replacement of a short section of the A14 with a new dual two-lane route. The scheme will take a series of sharp and accident-prone bends off the route and replace several dangerous flat junctions with a new grade separated dumbbell interchange.

Transport minister Dr Stephen Ladyman has officially given this scheme the go-ahead and start of work is expected later this year.
September 2007
Work has now started on the scheme.
