Scheme Outline
Upgrade of existing route between Adderstone and Belford to dual two-lane standard, though it is not likely that any of the junctions will be grade-separated.
In July 2006 the Government announced that it had accepted the reccommendations of the Regional Transport Board for the North East, which did not identify this scheme as a funding priority in the period to 2016. The dualling scheme is now officially "not currently being progressed". In simpler terms it has been canned.
